Lower East Side Tower
The towers combine the low density building of the Lower East Side with the massive blocks of low-income housings from the 1970s. The result, a vertical village designed to brighten up the neighborhood with white pre-cast concrete elements and multiple outdoor spaces to give each residence the opportunity to connect with the outdoors. In collaboration with the design firm S4Architecture, these 25 and 30 story towers mark a new era in this previously untouched neighborhood while respecting its context by the play of contextual scale and materials.
